During the summer of 2013, Men and Maegan Broadhurst had worked together with the Art Gallery of Mississauga and the local youth who frequent the City Centre skatepark (Mississauga) to create a project titled Roots and Branches: Our City Centre Skatepark. This community-based project was focused on (1) increasing media literacy through hosting skate video production workshops that were targeted at youths, (2) understanding the needs & difficulties that skaters faced with the park, and to (3) organize and share the collected data with cultural planners and the public.
