From the Mouth of the River is a community-generated database consisting of collected public stories and memories from the town of Port Credit. Men, and Broadhurst’s main focus for this project was to use the Port Credit Library as a temporary hub to map the emotional landscape of the town, and to gather shared stories and memories from the community. After their data collection process was complete, the artists have attached the public histories of the town to the emotional map they had created of Port Credit. This project was part of a group exhibition titled “Roots and Branches” and was organized by the Art Gallery of Mississauga and the Mississauga Library System.
